Apology to Godington Stud

We would like to make a public apology to Godington Stud following the publication of the article in Horse & Hound on 24th May 2007 and British Dressage Magazine published in June which is reading as if Holme Park Legend is the only British Bred stallion ever to be accepted into the German Trakehner Verband Stallion Stud Book.

As mentioned in our own press release the British Bred Trakehner Stallion Godington Hannibal was indeed the first British Bred Trakehner stallion approved by the Trakehner Verband in 2002 as an older horse following outstanding results in his eventing competition and then being presented to the grading panel in Germany.

Our claim is that Holme Park Legend is the first young stallion to be approved through the performance testing and grading procedure in Germany and is indeed 3rd Generation British Bred which is definately a first!

Godington Hannibal is standing at Godington Stud, Oxfordshire.
