English Trakehner Graded in Germany
On 19th April a grading was held by the Trakehner Verband at the Trakehner Stud Neu Rodenthal owned by family Sylla. As the regular Spring grading was forwarded to February 2007, the breeding committee felt the need to hold an additional April grading. Five stallions took the opportunity to be presented to the Trakehner grading committee.
Two Stallions to be accepted, three stallions to be graded. A positive result was given to one thoroughbred stallion and to two Trakehner stallions. One of them for the first time, an English bred stallion. Two Trakehner stallions were not graded/accepted.
Holme Park Legend - Fuchs, * 2003 , 30-Tage-Test Schlieckau 8.06
Owned and bred by the big English Trakehner Stud, Holme Park Stud, this very athletic stallion is a representative of the rare stallion line of Stern xx. At the English Trakehner grading last autumn, Legend injured himself and had to be taken out of the grading. In March he did his 30-day Performance Test in Schlieckau with clearly above average results, receiving outstanding marks for his loose jumping. He now became the first English bred Trakehner stallion graded in Germany.
This significant stallion with big frame has a very impressive breed and gender type and makes a very good impression under saddle. Striking is his big canter and his jumping ability.
His dam "Liaison" as well as his granddam on the sire side "Kremona" were both discovered and purchased by Holme Park Stud at the mare auction in Neumünster.
