The family of Libelle- Liebchen has her original roots in the high quality east Prussian private breed. This family got an strong input into the whole breed, not only due to the results of their members in competition, being responsible for a high number of top mares as well: Best example is Lossainen by Louidor, winning several Supreme championships all over Germany. Same family produced the sires Lockruf I, Lockruf II, premium stallion Lessen and his full brother Lossow.

Liaison herself was awarded a premium at her grading and then went on to do a very good Mare Performance Test being the 3rd highest placed Trakehner mare in the whole of Germany scoring 9 for temperament and rideability.

Her sire E H Hohenstein is one of the most famous stallions today in Germany and stands in the same stud as his famous sire EH Caprimond.  Both are competing in Grandprix dressage.
