Holme Grove Farm and Holme Park Stud have built up a mare herd of the highest quality Pure Bred Trakehners, having carefully selected them for movement, beauty, confirmation, correctness but most of all.temperament!
Our Trakehner Stallions: Holme Grove Istanbul - by Flaneur out of Idyll- Our Magnificent foundation Stallion - Premium Graded and 100 day performance tested in Germany, BWBS Champion Stallion 87 scoring 10 for Masulinity (returned to Germany 1994 where he later died). We purchased Istanbul from Germany as an Intermediare 1 Schoolmaster Dressage stallion for my sister Julia Wetton and foundation stallion for our Trakehner mare herd.   He was by the famous stallion Flaneur and out of Idyll.  His bloodlines combined both dressage and jumping and he bred 2 grade A show jumpers while in our ownership (one called Impact II)  He also was the sire of the Grandprix jumping horse "Goldkorn" ridden by Hugo Simon.  He bred very good moving horses and some of the progeny bred by us went to Prix St George in dressage.   He also bred some outstanding mares who were awarded premiums at their grading, some of which are still in our herd.
Holme Grove Solomon - Home bred from outstanding bloodlines by Fernando. (His dam Holme Grove Schlobitten (who died at 30 years old on 7^th Feb 1998) was dam of Schiwago one of the best Trakehner Stallions to grade in Germany in recent years - German Supreme Champion Stallion) TBF Graded and Performance tested and BWBS Graded. A beautiful stallion with a wonderful character and breathtaking paces that he consistently passes to his progeny. Selected by Dressage magazine as runner up "Young Dressage Stallion of the Year" in 1994. He was awarded the 1998 Best British Bred Dressage Sire for his progeny performance by the BHF and was leading British Bred Dressage Sire again in 2000.  His winning progeny are too many to mention but can be seen listed here
Pascal by Matador by Donauwind out of Pr.St Peggi. Born 1979. German Graded and Performance Tested Trakehner Stallion This combination of bloodlines includes the best of jumping lines and Grandprix dressage.  Pascal is closely related  to Olympic dressage horses TCN Partout and Peron.  Pascal was successful in his own right in dressage, Eventing and Dressage.  Pascal was on loan to Holme Grove Farm for two seasons before being sold to Harmsworth Stud.  Sadly he died in 2001.
Holme Grove Prokofiev by Beg xx was graded in Germany imported in 1998 as a 3 year old. His first crop of foals made a great impression at the 1999 TBF Show winning 1^st , 2^nd, 4^th in the older colt foal class and 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, &4^th in the filly class and overall Champion TBF foal 1999, Reserve Champion foal 2000 and Champion Foal and Reserve Supreme 2001 ! 
Holme Park Krug our newly graded and 100 day performance tested son of Holme Grove Solomon produced his first foals in 2000 and they were all stunning and achieved Champion TBF Foal 2000.   His 2001 crop of foals are  just as stunning and all sold Holme Park Dynamo was Supreme Champion Part Bred at the TBF Show 2001.  At the 2002 TBF Show his progeny triumphed again winning Reserve Champion Youngstock (Holme Park Kaskade) Champion Foal and Reserve Supreme Champion and Best British Bred Trakehner 2002 (Holme Park Vanity) 2003 Holme Park Kaskade was TBF Youngstock Champion.
Both Holme Grove Prokofiev and Holme Park Krug have been accepted for dressage training with Peter Storr which is a real endorsement of the potential as top class competition horses.  Both young stallions are to be trained and ridden by Julia Wetton. Holme Grove Prokofiev has been ridden by Peter Storr while Julia on Maternity leave.

Stock of our breeding have been awarded the TBF Supreme Championship in 1987, 88, 89, 90, 91(Res), 92, 93, 94 (Res) 96, 97, 98 (res), 00 CH & Res. 01 (Res).   Holme Grove Solomon has been awarded the "Top British Bred Stallion 1998 & 2000" (by annual progeny winnings) in the Dressage discipline by the British Horse Foundation. At the 2000 Annual Show horses of our breeding were Champion Foal, Res.Champion Mare, Champion Youngstock, Champion Riding Horse, Champion Dressage Horse and Supreme & Reserve Champion of the show. At the 2001 TBF Annual Show our horses were awarded two premiums in the grading, Champion Foal, Champion Mare, Champion Youngstock, Mare Family Champions, Reserve Supreme and Best British Bred Trakehner 2001. All our young-stock are handled from birth, wormed and feet trimmed regularly. They are also vaccinated for Equine Flu and Tetanus. All are open to any vet and are free of any known vices, unless declared otherwise. They have full TRAKEHNER BREEDERS’ FRATERNITY (TBF) Pink Papers unless stated otherwise.
