The first foal of the 2008 season at Holme Park Stud and what a start! The first foal by Holme Park Krug out of a Prokofiev daughter - Holme Grove Blin. She had not read up on all the books so did not realize she should lay down so he was delivered standing up! His grandmother Ballerina was also delivered standing!

A beautiful foal and very big for a maiden mare! Strong and standing before he was 10 minutes old.

Paul was away on business in USA but watched the birth on CCTV over the internet - wonders of modern technology! He had just bought a new Hugo Boss Jacket so thought the name "Boss" was a good strong name which this chap will live up too!

HG Blin is Liz's Dressage horse and she has just gone travelling for 5 months and hoped she would foal before she left - she left yesterday! Sorry you missed his arrival Liz .....
